CV Writing

Having spent seven years working in Leadership Development and Recruitment departments for large organisations such as Accenture, BT, Cheshire Fire and Rescue and AXA PPP healthcare, I now offer a professional CV writing service to individuals who are looking to improve their prospects in today’s highly competitive job market.

My CV writing service starts with an initial review. I will ask you to email your CV to me, and I will look over it and respond to you with my recommendations and a list of questions. We can then work through these pointsover the phone or via email - depending upon your preference. Once I have gathered further information I will complete the re-write (which also includes reformatting and amending the order somewhat) and send it back to you for your comments. Included in the price is one set of amendments.  The aim is to ensure that your CV presents you in the most positive way possible.

360 Degree Feedback

360 Degree Feedback enables you to gain feedback on your professional performance from a selection your colleagues.  It provides valuable insight into how you are  perceived from a range of perspectives, which can ultimately help you to build on your strengths and identify your development areas.

It is particularly useful in increasing self awareness and provides more detailed feedback about how you are viewed than the more traditional manager led appraisal.

We start by identifying who you would like to obtain feedback from - this is often a mixture of your colleagues, direct reports, line manager, customers and suppliers.  Friends can also be a great source of feedback.  I then email these individuals with a set of questions which they complete and return to me.  Their answers form the basis of a confiendtial report. 

I then review the report, highlighting any trends or themes which are apparent.  Once this is complete we book in a 2 hour meeting where we discuss your reaction to the feedback, highlight your key strengths and identify hidden strengths that will have arisen by hearing people's views.  We also explore your development areas and agree on an action plan for you to follow after the meeting.

I offer this service to individuals who wish to fund their own Feedback as part of their personal and professional development, as well as organisations looking to fund the service as part of a training and development exercise for their employees.

Whisper Marketing

In addition to my freelance work, I also run Whisper (www.whispermarketing.co.uk), a marketing agency set up to provide promotional support to small businesses, and individuals who may be seeking to improve the ways in which they promote themselves in the recruitment market.  Through Whisper, I currently work with 5 small businesses in the North West (including The Hope Street Centre), providing a variety of marketing guidance and support.
