Yoga

Yoga is an ancient holistic system from the East for health, well-being, and ultimately, spiritual development.

Fiona Forster teaches yoga at The Hope Street Centre for up to two individuals at once.

The style of yoga Fiona teaches is gentle and flowing, suitable for all ages and abilities.  She originally trained as a Dru yoga and personal development teacher, qualifying in 2001, and has since attended a variety of workshops with teachers from different traditions and styles, to continue her professional development.

Fiona plans individual sessions of gentle yoga, which include relaxation, flowing sequences, postures and stretches, breathing and meditation, tailored to you.

The sessions usually last an hour, can be spaced as you wish and handouts are offered to support and encourage your personal practice at home.

In the past those choosing one-to-one yoga have included people

  • Suffering with stress/anxiety
  • Convalescing
  • With long-term health issues, for example M.E. and cancer
  • Wanting to build confidence before joining a class
  • Who enjoy the flexibility of timing their own sessions
  • Wanting help with relaxation towards conception

Fiona may also be booked to come to a larger group at your workplace or in the community.
